Ping Proxies Review

85 / 100

Review score

We were pretty happy to find some consumer friendly prices and pricing policies when we did our Ping Proxies review. See what we learned here.

PickAProxy is funded by commissions earned when you make a purchase, at no cost to you, after clicking our links to merchant sites.

For our Ping Proxies review, we learned the company was founded in 2016 and has a well-established and tested network of residential proxies, sticky and rotating ISP proxies and a network of datacenter IPs from both the US and Germany.

Ping Proxies primary use cases are data scraping, AI Data, Social Media proxies, SEO and SERP proxies as well as site unblockers.

What we love about Ping Proxies is that they appear to have a relatively smaller team but their customers rave about their support. Using proxies can be complicated depending both on your experience and the complexities of your use case so, while customer service is important in any industry, it’s often a critical component for proxy users.

Ping Proxies Pricing and Policies

We also like Ping Proxies Pricing practices, including extended time to use your data and lower get in prices. For example, if you get their 10 GB Residential proxy plan, it will run you $75. These are real residential IP addresses and have both sticky and rotating IP options. That per GB price is already among the more competitive prices, but they also give you 60 days to use it. Other providers lock you into monthly recurring billing and are less (or not) flexible with helping you use the actual data you paid for.

For products that have static IP addresses, they have clear and transparent pricing per IP address and offer unlimited bandwidth on those IPs. There are some providers who will charge for the IP and the bandwidth, even for dedicated IPs.

These pricing policies are very customer-centric and is probably one of the reasons their customers come out in droves with positive things to say about them.

Ping Proxies also has one of the most comprehensive Acceptable Use policies we’ve seen. In addition to separating it out from the long Terms of Service to make it clear, they also specifically publish a list of restricted domains so you are clear before you buy. This shows a commitment to following the law and a commitment to making policies clear rather than just doing a standard vague policy to cover their bases. We need more transparency like this in the industry. Ping Proxies review their network activity proactively to make sure it’s not being abused.

Their KYC practices are also fully disclosed before you sign up with them. Despite the positive aspects of KYCs, we’ve found that some proxy service customers are put off when they are only told after they pay that there will be a KYC so we love up-front disclosures like the one below. Solid work from a relatively new company.

1. What is the Review Score?

The Review Score is a proprietary analysis that takes into account both objective and subjective inputs from three sources: the proxy provider, our review process and customers of the proxy company.

2. Why is it Important?

The primary reason is safety. We put a lot of effort into trying to identify providers who might be up to nefarious things. There are too many horror stories out there of providers who disappeared overnight and / or were doing nefarious things on their network. Once a safety baseline is established (generally a score of over 80), you can use the Review Score to assess potential providers based on the things that matter to you.

3. How You Should Use it?

The Review Score is not a be-all, end-all. If you are comparing providers that have a score of 92 and 95, you should not use the score to 'break the tie'. You should instead focus on the specific features and needs you have. The Review Score, however, is a good way to think of different classes of providers. And sometimes a lower review score might be better. If you are looking for cheap proxies and don't care about speed or other issues, then you don't need the blue chips. That's ok. The Review Score is one data point you should use in making your decisions.

4. How is it Calculated?

Good question! We're not telling. :) However, we say that trust is the most important thing. Using a proxy service has risks when you don't know what the company behind it is up to. We're trying to vet out the bad actors for you.

Legal Review

We have found no government actions or law suits vs Ping Proxies.

Customer reviews

Despite the fact that Ping Proxies has a no refund policy, there is customer feedback saying that they were refunded when proxies didn’t work for a specific purpose. However, by and large, our Ping Proxy review turned up a lot of evidence that customers are satisfied with the quality of the network and proxies and that customer support seems very on top of troubleshooting, delivering fast solutions. Many proxy users need help to really dial things in so we love seeing good reviews about fast troubleshooting. No one wants to put projects on hold for days when they are getting set up just to get a response.

A Word from the Provider

Vertically integrated infrastructure with ISP locations in London, Paris, Germany, Charlotte and Ashburn, VA with carriers including AT&T, Comcast, Spectrum, Orange DTAG & Glide. Owning our own infrastructure allows us to offer very competitive pricing across all of our product lines and we also have a large B2B business which provides services to other proxy providers. Proxy pools are very fresh and subnets are rotated regularly.
