GoProxy is a newer company seems to working hard to establish a foothold in the proxy industry. Based out of Hong Kong they offer IP addresses in over 200 countries and specialize in AI Data, web scraping and social media and SEO solutions. Our GoProxy review is a little limited because of a lack of data from customers. They offer proxies sourced from partnerships with companies like AT&T, Verizon and Comcast, according to their marketing materials.
In our experience, GoProxy has demonstrated a good level of knowledge and ability to explain how to use their service for specific use cases and they seem to be focused on customer results. They also offer customized assistance. “You can inform us of your requirements, and we can assist you in developing personalized web scraping scripts tailored to your specific needs, optimizing your existing web scraping scripts, or even providing various datasets directly for your web scraping tasks.”
GoProxy pricing is complex which has upsides and downsides. On the down side, pricing tables can be a little misleading. For example, for their 5 GB residential proxies monthly deal, they advertise the first month discounted rate of $4.70/month for subscriptions in big blue text, but you have read through the details to find that the ongoing cost is $5.80/month. While these details are disclosed and we don’t want to turn a positive (a discount on the first month) into a negative, we did feel it was a little misleading. If you buy GoProxy proxies just make sure you read the details.
On the good side, the complexity of their ‘by the country’ proxy pricing helps users find the best prices. For example, if you need US residential proxies and don’t care where in the US they come from, their pricing tables can help you save money. New York IPs, for example are $7.48/IP for 30 days, but they clearly show pricing options three different states in which you can get the same thing for $4.
On the whole, it doesn’t seem like GoProxy is trying to put one over users: they are very clear in some places, not so much in others.
GoProxy offers support through email, WhatsApp and Telegram. In our experience, they were very responsive and provided information we requested to verify their company without hesitation. We hope that responsiveness is something that users experience as well.
One thing we really liked is the variety of free trials so that if you want to give them a shot to see for yourself, you can do that with no upfront cost. It’s important, especially for new services to give users a reason to get on board and they do that. Their free trial offers are for:
Residential Proxies: 100MB in 7 days
Static Residential Proxies: Unlimited data usage for 1 day
Datacenter Proxies: Unlimited data usage for 1 day
GoProxy is registered in Hong Kong as of January 2024 so we want to see how they develop over time before we can have more confidence in our GoProxy review, including tying up some loose ends that could simply be the result of their youth and getting more objective feedback from customers. If you have experience with GoProxy, let us know what you thought so we can help other users understand what to expect.
New company with no feedback? No worries. Do a free trial and test the network yourself! They offer three different types of free trials to choose from.
GoProxy is working hard to earn customers by focusing on end results. They offer assistance with new or existing web scraping scripts to make sure you are getting the results you need.
While downtime can happen on any web site, while we were compiling information for our review, the site was down for over half a day. We also found that a few of their internal links, such as to their Quick Start guide and Help Center were deemed risky by our anti-virus software. While there are non-nefarious reasons why this could happen, it gives us a little pause.
GoProxy is registered in Hong Kong as January 30, 2024.
1. What is the Review Score?
The Review Score is a proprietary analysis that takes into account both objective and subjective inputs from three sources: the proxy provider, our review process and customers of the proxy company.
2. Why is it Important?
The primary reason is safety. We put a lot of effort into trying to identify providers who might be up to nefarious things. There are too many horror stories out there of providers who disappeared overnight and / or were doing nefarious things on their network. Once a safety baseline is established (generally a score of over 80), you can use the Review Score to assess potential providers based on the things that matter to you.
3. How You Should Use it?
The Review Score is not a be-all, end-all. If you are comparing providers that have a score of 92 and 95, you should not use the score to 'break the tie'. You should instead focus on the specific features and needs you have. The Review Score, however, is a good way to think of different classes of providers. And sometimes a lower review score might be better. If you are looking for cheap proxies and don't care about speed or other issues, then you don't need the blue chips. That's ok. The Review Score is one data point you should use in making your decisions.
4. How is it Calculated?
Good question! We're not telling. :) However, we say that trust is the most important thing. Using a proxy service has risks when you don't know what the company behind it is up to. We're trying to vet out the bad actors for you.
