Read our GSocks review to learn about their "forever data" plans and some critical facts about this new company.

PickAProxy is funded by commissions earned when you make a purchase, at no cost to you, after clicking our links to merchant sites.

For our GSocks review, the thing we want most is more information. We like the things we are seeing but we’re not seeing enough to do a very deep dive with this new company.

GSocks is a Delaware, US company that was formed in September of 2023 so they are very new. As a result there is not much feedback on them. But let’s start with what we did see that we liked.

GSocks Review: Pricing

First, we have to talk about “forever data”. One of the biggest cost issues for companies using proxies is that they pay for data upfront and in a “use it or lose it” scenario, they don’t get the value they paid for. GSocks eliminates this issue by allowing users to use all data they have purchased forever, or, as their CEO told us “even after 10 years”.

Add this to some of the most simple and clear pricing tables on their web site and we can already see that pricing policies we found in our GSocks review are very consumer friendly. But what about the prices themselves?

GSocks definitely comes in on the lower end. When compared to sites that target the levels just below enterprise, we see that GSocks beats them with residential prices as low as $3/GB for the 250 GB level. Datacenter proxies prices for GSocks are not as competitive. Mobile proxies prices are quite frankly some of the highest we’ve seen.

So for the latter two, GSocks might not be a good fit, but if you are interested in residential proxies, you might save some money going with GSocks. This might be why GSocks ranks their most satisfied customers as social media users and the SERP use case.

GSocks Review: The Company

As customer feedback is extremely sparse and the company is new, we need to focus on the company itself to fill out our GSocks review.

First, we’ll say the team has been very responsive with us and their CEO appears to be very hands-on which is important. However, we can’t ignore a few things that give us pause at adding them to our top tier Review Scores.

First, they have essentially zero on-line presence. If no one is talking about them, it makes us wonder why. Low social media presence is not problematic in and of itself. However, we were unable to find any substantial reviews on independent review sites like Trust Pilot or BBB. This does not mean GSocks can’t be trusted. There is definitely a lack of data though, so it’s hard for us to get independent information.

They are a Delaware company which could simply be their way of getting more business friendly legal protections, however, Delaware companies can be abused and we did have an address mismatch with the business address they provided us and the one listed with the Delaware company registry.

Finally, we want to be really careful here because this is purely a “gut” reaction, but there is a company called ASocks that was accused by multiple security web sites of being associated with an app that was installing malicious code in apps that were removed from the Google Play store. We want to be clear that we have absolutely zero information linking GSocks to ASocks – and we looked hard for it. The only issue is the similarities in the names. Is there a BSocks – FSocks? We don’t know. But we would be failing in our duty to our users to not inform them of this observation.

That said, if you are looking for residential proxies at a lower price, this company might be worth it if you fully understand that it’s a new company and we don’t know much about it – and the risks that come along with that.

ProxyMatch

ProxyMatch helps you filter through our ranked proxy providers to find the best provider for your company’s needs. Try It Now

1. What is the Review Score?

The Review Score is a proprietary analysis that takes into account both objective and subjective inputs from three sources: the proxy provider, our review process and customers of the proxy company.

2. Why is it Important?

The primary reason is safety. We put a lot of effort into trying to identify providers who might be up to nefarious things. There are too many horror stories out there of providers who disappeared overnight and / or were doing nefarious things on their network. Once a safety baseline is established (generally a score of over 80), you can use the Review Score to assess potential providers based on the things that matter to you.

3. How You Should Use it?

The Review Score is not a be-all, end-all. If you are comparing providers that have a score of 92 and 95, you should not use the score to 'break the tie'. You should instead focus on the specific features and needs you have. The Review Score, however, is a good way to think of different classes of providers. And sometimes a lower review score might be better. If you are looking for cheap proxies and don't care about speed or other issues, then you don't need the blue chips. That's ok. The Review Score is one data point you should use in making your decisions.

4. How is it Calculated?

Good question! We're not telling. :) However, we say that trust is the most important thing. Using a proxy service has risks when you don't know what the company behind it is up to. We're trying to vet out the bad actors for you.

Private proxies come with unlimited traffic.

The following content comes from the providers themselves, including their perspective on why users choose them over other services and their most popular use cases.

A Word from the Provider

Our main competitive advantage is the simplicity and availability of proxies. A client needs to make only 7 clicks with a bear to go through all the steps from registration to replenishment and receiving proxies. Also we put maximum emphasis on the quality of proxies (fail-safe operation, speed, location compliance). We are striving to become leaders in our industry, and we are actively increasing our turnover in the U.S. Market.
