GSocks is a Delaware, US company that offers private proxies, mobile proxies, datacenter proxies and residential proxies to over 5,000 companies worldwide including Azure. Gsocks customers use their service for a variety of primarily business purposes such as crawlers, price and market research, social media, SEO monitoring, and price comparison for airfares and other products.

Although GSocks is a relatively new company, they have proper policies in place. In addition to a privacy policy and terms, they also list all cookies they use, which exceeds that which other companies disclose. They also have a “Don’t sell my personal info” form that you can fill out.

GSocks has a REST API that will allow you to implement custom solutions for what you need.

The GSocks CEO has been in direct contact with us, puts his full name on his communications, is present on LinkedIn and, in our interactions with them, they are very proactive and out in the open. We have had only positive interactions with the team.

We found GSocks’ pricing tables to be a bit more straightforward than what we are used to seeing. The numbers all add up and are presented in a very clear manner.

If you are using proxies for privacy, you will appreciate that Gsocks is one of the few companies that links to a form from their main navigation that allows you to control your data. This indicates to us that Gsocks has privacy in their DNA.

According to the Gsocks CEO, data purchased has no expiration. If you buy 50 GB of data, you get to use it “even after 10 years”. This is an extremely customer-centric policy. You pay for something and you get it – we can get on board with that.

GSocks lists one business address in its terms and a different one appears on the official business registration. The company is registered in Delaware and Delaware companies often use registered agents.

GSocks has only four associated LinkedIn members and very small followings there and on Facebook. We could not find them on X. We love small teams and that’s not bad in and of itself. Low social media presence is not problematic in and of itself. However, we were unable to find any reviews on independent review sites like Trust Pilot or BBB. This does not mean GSocks can’t be trusted. There is definitely a lack of data though, so it’s hard for us to get independent information.

It’s up to you to decide if this is a plus or minus. Delaware is very corporate friendly so many companies incorporate there. There are companies whose only job it is is to be a registered agent of these companies and facilitate a US presence and pass off communications such as legal notices. It doesn’t necessarily mean that you can be in touch with the company though. Gsocks does offer support through email.

1. What is the Review Score?

The Review Score is a proprietary analysis that takes into account both objective and subjective inputs from three sources: the proxy provider, our review process and customers of the proxy company.

2. Why is it Important?

The primary reason is safety. We put a lot of effort into trying to identify providers who might be up to nefarious things. There are too many horror stories out there of providers who disappeared overnight and / or were doing nefarious things on their network. Once a safety baseline is established (generally a score of over 80), you can use the Review Score to assess potential providers based on the things that matter to you.

3. How You Should Use it?

The Review Score is not a be-all, end-all. If you are comparing providers that have a score of 92 and 95, you should not use the score to 'break the tie'. You should instead focus on the specific features and needs you have. The Review Score, however, is a good way to think of different classes of providers. And sometimes a lower review score might be better. If you are looking for cheap proxies and don't care about speed or other issues, then you don't need the blue chips. That's ok. The Review Score is one data point you should use in making your decisions.

4. How is it Calculated?

Good question! We're not telling. :) However, we say that trust is the most important thing. Using a proxy service has risks when you don't know what the company behind it is up to. We're trying to vet out the bad actors for you.

The following content comes from the providers themselves, including their perspective on why users choose them over other services and their most popular use cases.

A Word from the Provider

Our main competitive advantage is the simplicity and availability of proxies. A client needs to make only 7 clicks with a bear to go through all the steps from registration to replenishment and receiving proxies. Also we put maximum emphasis on the quality of proxies (fail-safe operation, speed, location compliance). We are striving to become leaders in our industry, and we are actively increasing our turnover in the U.S. Market.
