GoProxy is a relatively new entrant in the proxy industry, established in 2024 and based out of Hong Kong. Despite their youth, they have quickly grown to offer IP addresses in over 200 countries and specialize in services such as AI data collection, web scraping, social media automation, and SEO solutions. Although customer feedback is still limited due to their youth, our GoProxy review highlights both strengths and areas for improvement.
Mobile Proxy Rotation and Customization
One of the standout features we’ve identified in our GoProxy review is their proxy rotation flexibility. Their residential proxies allow users to control rotation frequency through a Time-to-Live (TTL) feature. This feature empowers users to choose intervals between 3 and 30 minutes, making GoProxy useful for both frequent rotations (prioritizing privacy and anonymity) and extended rotations (ideal for tasks requiring session continuity, such as social media account management or online banking).
Additionally, GoProxy supports both rotating and sticky sessions, with a default setting for auto-rotating proxies. Users can set up proxies through their Endpoint Generator, where parameters like country, region, and session type can be easily configured for specific use cases. This level of customization is a major benefit, especially for businesses handling complex data scraping tasks or automating multiple accounts across platforms.
GoProxy Pricing: Simple but Confusing
When it comes to pricing, GoProxy’s structure is both an advantage and a potential source of confusion. Our GoProxy review found that their 5 GB residential proxy plan starts at $4.70 for the first month but rises to $5.80 thereafter. While discounts like this are a positive feature, the discounted rate is in big blue text, but you have read through the details to find that the ongoing cost is $5.80/month. They could be more clear here. Users should carefully review the details before purchasing.
However, GoProxy’s country-based pricing structure offers a helpful way to find the best deal. For instance, users can opt for IPs from different U.S. states at varying prices. New York IPs may cost $7.48 for 30 days, while other states could offer the same service for as low as $4. This flexibility makes it easier for users to save money depending on their specific location needs.
GoProxy also provides generous free trials, giving users the chance to test out the service without any financial commitment:
- Residential Proxies: 100MB for 7 days
- Static Residential Proxies: Unlimited data for 1 day
- Datacenter Proxies: Unlimited data for 1 day
This trial structure is an excellent way for a new company to attract users and prove their value before a full commitment.
GoProxy Support and Customer Service
GoProxy offers customer support through email, WhatsApp, and Telegram. In our experience, their team was very responsive, providing the information we requested promptly. It’s worth noting that their customer service interactions were smooth, and they didn’t hesitate to verify the legitimacy of their company when asked.
In our experience, GoProxy has demonstrated a good level of knowledge and ability to explain how to use their service for specific use cases and they seem to be focused on customer results. They also offer customized assistance. “You can inform us of your requirements, and we can assist you in developing personalized web scraping scripts tailored to your specific needs, optimizing your existing web scraping scripts, or even providing various datasets directly for your web scraping tasks.”
However, we have some concerns about GoProxy’s Acceptable Use policy and the lack of a Know Your Customer (KYC) process. While their policy mentions suspension for illegal activity or fraud, it’s not as proactive or detailed as other providers. Without clear enforcement measures, this opens their network to potential abuse. That said, given their young age, it’s possible this will evolve as they grow.
Lack of API Documentation Clarity
While GoProxy offers customization options for rotating proxies and sticky sessions, and supports integrations with various programming languages (CURL, Python, NodeJS, PHP, Go), their API documentation could be clearer. Despite highlighting these options, we struggled to find clear or sufficient technical details on how scheduled IP rotation works through their API or endpoints. For users who rely heavily on automation and detailed API integrations, this is a limitation worth considering.
A Growing Company with Potential
GoProxy has the potential to establish a strong foothold in the proxy industry, thanks to their large IP pool, customizable proxy options, and focus on customer results. Their willingness to offer personalized assistance, including helping users develop and optimize web scraping scripts, is a big plus. They claim to source their proxies from partnerships with well-known companies like AT&T, Verizon, and Comcast, which lends some credibility to their service.
However, due to their newness, there’s still some uncertainty, especially with limited customer feedback and the lack of transparency in certain areas. GoProxy is registered in Hong Kong as of January 2024, and we hope to see more clarity and feedback emerge as the company matures.
Conclusion: Worth a Try, But Pay Attention
Our GoProxy review reflects a company that is still growing but shows promise. Their proxy services, particularly the granular rotation control and customized assistance, can be valuable for users with specific needs in web scraping, automation, and SEO. However, their lack of KYC policies, potential network vulnerabilities, and opaque API documentation mean that users should proceed with caution.
We’ll continue to monitor GoProxy’s progress and update our review as the company grows. If you’ve had experience with GoProxy, feel free to share your review to help other users better understand what to expect.
ProxyMatch
ProxyMatch helps you filter through our ranked proxy providers to find the best provider for your company’s needs. TRY IT NOWReview Score Explained
What is the Review Score?
The Review Score is a proprietary analysis that takes into account both objective and subjective inputs from three sources: the proxy provider, our review process and customers of the proxy company.
Why is it Important?
The primary reason is safety. We put a lot of effort into trying to identify providers who might be up to nefarious things. There are too many horror stories out there of providers who disappeared overnight and / or were doing nefarious things on their network. Once a safety baseline is established, you can use the Review Score to assess potential providers based on the things that matter to you.
Should I always choose a company with the higher review score?
Absolutely not. First figure out which companies meet your needs. The review score just alerts users to some potential issues they should look into. This doesn’t mean the potential issues are relevant to you or even valid.
There are cases where a company with a review score of 7 might be a better fit for you than a company with a score of 9. Focus on the specific features and needs you have. Below a score of 7, we generally do not even partner with or promote sites and you should exercise caution if you see a red score.
How is it Calculated?
Good question! We’re not telling. 🙂 However, we say that trust is the most important thing. Using a proxy service has risks when you don’t know what the company behind it is up to so we do as much vetting as possible from independent resources and our own research. The algorithm will grow over time.
Can proxy companies buy a higher review score?
Absolutely not. They cannot buy higher rankings in the ProxyMatch results either. While we do take company input to help us better understand their offerings, they cannot request higher scores. We do review our scores periodically and when providers make changes to policies or offerings.
